Why does a gas cooker have to be installed and serviced by a Corgi registered engineer? It is a legal requirement that any gas appliance is attended by a suitably qualified Corgi engineer to ensure that it is safe to use. In accordance with these requirements all our engineers are trained and qualified to attend to gas appliances. Incorrect installation and inadequate testing could result in a serious accident.
Can Leisure Range Cookers be converted to LPG? Only Leisure dual fuel range cookers can be converted to LPG, via a conversion kit. Our gas range cookers cannot be converted to run on LPG.
Please contact our spares dept on 0845 6004916 for further assistance on converting a dual fuel Leisure range cooker to LPG.
How much space is required either side of the cooker? Only enough so that it can be removed is required.
Should the range cooker not have a much higher fuse rating? No. This is due to the diversity of factors involved in cooking. Research shows when you use your cooker you would never switch on every control knob at the same time; the switches are turned on at different times and they all cycle in and out. So, even if you do have all the controls switched on at once, they are not all using power at the same time.
My product has ‘Flame Safety Device’. What does it mean? Flame safety devices are very important safety devices which ensure that the gas supply is turned off to a burner in the event that the burner does not ignite or that the flame has been extinguished.
Gas Cooker Installation New regulations require gas cookers installed in a flat or multi-dwelling building to have a flame safety device (FSD) to the hob - see individual models for details.
Where can I find the serial number on my Range cooker? When viewed from the front the rating plate is located under the lower left hand side oven door.
